Writer’s Block II is designed to fill multiple roles, providing both wood storage and a space for contemplation and study. One entire wall of an existing shed is thickened to accommodate log storage. The thickened wall facilitates passive cooling in the summer and provides extra insulation in the winter. Like its sibling structure Writer’s Block I, the shed’s two functions—wood shed and writer’s studio—coexist without interrupting each other.
